Access Libraries From Your Living Room
We know the Library is a critical resource for New Yorkers of all ages, which is why the New York Public Library has taken steps to expand access to online offerings while branches are temporarily closed.
New York residents can apply for a New York Public Library card through SimplyE to gain access to an array of digital resources, including e-books and audiobooks, as well as databases available from home during our period of closure.
For those of you missing the welcoming atmosphere of the local library. We invite you to tour online simulations made available from some of the most beautiful libraries around the world. They offer more than inspiring views of these literary sanctuaries:
Harry Elkins Widener Memorial Library, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA
The Klementinum library in Prague, Czechia
King’s College Library, London, England
Admont Abbey Library, Admont, Austria
(For a small one-time fee)
Jerome Hall Law Library, Bloomington, Indiana
A.K. Smiley Public Library, Redlands, California
