INTERIM PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Summary

The Program Manager plans, promotes and presents programs for children and adults approximately every two weeks, September through June. The Program Director reports to the President.

Position requires approximately 20 hours per month (5 hours per week), primarily Saturday mornings and evenings. Wage $25 per hour, paid bi-weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Work with subscription service to schedule, promote and present online author events.
  • Collaborate with Fishers Island School to schedule and support their use of streaming author events.
  • Present bi-weekly children’s story and activity program on Saturday mornings.
  • Work with Communications chair to promote events to FI Library community, both local and distant.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with technology, in particular video conferencing platforms such as Zoom
  • Comfortable reading and leading children’s activities
  • Creative approach to communication and community connections
  • Reliable and collaborative
  • 16 years or older
