Join us at the Library Tuesday, June 24, 2025 @ 5:30 pm for an Author Talk with Sophie Burnham.

Sophie is a queer, nonbinary novelist and screenwriter, best known for the Ex Romana trilogy. Their debut novel, Sargassa, is out now wherever books are sold. The thrilling sequel, Bloodtide, hits shelves in October 2025.

They have been a participating writer in—and the script doctor behind—multiple studio film and television projects. Sophie lives with their dog on an island in Rhode Island, which is not an island.

On Tuesday afternoons in July and August, the Library welcomes guest speakers, including authors.
