Author Talk Sept 19: Jenny Offill

In partnership with Lighthouse Works, join us at the Library for a special evening with acclaimed author Jenny Offill, who will read from her celebrated novel Weather. The reading will be followed by an intimate conversation and an audience Q&A.

Jenny Offill is the author of the novels Weather, Dept. of Speculation (a New York Times 10 Best Books of the Year), and Last Things. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship and was a finalist for the Folio Prize, the Pen/Faulkner Award, and the Women’s Prize. Hailed by the Boston Globe as “strikingly eccentric and completely irresistible,” her work offers a profoundly humane and timely lens on the world. She lives in upstate New York and is a writer-in-residence at Bard College.


This program is co-hosted by Lighthouse Works and presented as part of the Harry S. Parker III Visiting Artist Program, which brings distinguished writers and artists to Fishers Island to engage with Lighthouse Works Fellows and the island community.
