BOOK CLUB AUG 26: Whistler
Join us at the Library for our August Book Club!

Title: Whistler by Ann Patchett
Book Club Date: Wednesday, August 26
Time: 5:30 pm
Selected by: The Group Regulars
Whistler is a story about two adults looking back over the choices they made, and the choices that were made for them. It’s a story about bravery, memory, the often small yet consequential moments that define our lives, and the endless stream of loss that in time comes for us all.
Book Club books are chosen by various members. As we make our monthly choices, the library has or can get copies of all the books. You can also get them via LIBBY with your library card and on tape. Many are on Audible.
How to become a Fishers Island Library Book Club member?
Easy! Just come to a meeting, and you will be added to the contact list, or contact Abby McCall or Ann Banks.
The group generally meets at the Library, now on the 4th Wednesday of the month, with a few exceptions – so as not to conflict with ICB and the FIS BOE meetings.
Bring a friend who’s read the current book or someone who is interested in joining us. There’s always room for more readers at the library.
Best wishes,
Abby
