Banned Book Club December 6th

Our 1st book pick is The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.

Join us Wednesday, December 6th @ 6PM at the Library and on Zoom.
Pizza and drinks will be provided.

What is it?

This is a club designed for students grades 7-12 (and friends and families!). We will listen (or read) a different banned/challenged book each month and meet to discuss, eat snacks and socialize. There will be two adult supervisors to help facilitate, Clifford Anderson and Mere Doyen.

Why?

By exploring books that have been banned/challenged, participants will gain insights into societal norms, freedom of speech, and censorship across different periods of American history. Plus, these are GREAT books!

This club will have a monthly gathering and is open to people on AND off island.
