BANNED BOOK CLUB: Brave New World

This month our book pick will be Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Our meeting will be Thursday, February 29 @ 6 PM at the library and on Zoom.

What is The Banned Book Club?
This is a club designed for students in grades 7-12 (and friends and families). We will listen to (or read) a different banned/challenged book each month and meet to discuss, enjoy snacks and socialize. There will be two adult supervisors to help facilitate, Cliff Anderson and Mere Doyen.

Why The Banned Book Club?
By exploring books that have been banned/challenged, participants will gain insights into societal norms, freedom of speech, and censorship across different periods of American history. Plus, these are GREAT books!

This club will have a monthly gathering and is open to people on AND off island.

Please reach out to us at librarian@filibrary.org for the Zoom link.
